In life, we are often preoccupied with the past and the future… stressing over what we have done and worrying about what lies ahead. We forget that the only time we will ever experience is ‘now’. The past is gone and can’t be changed. The future will always be in the future. Mindfulness teaches us how to live in the moment by recognising and managing our thoughts, avoiding the negative impact of focussing on the past and future.

Mindfulness is similar to meditation, but it can be practiced while on the go. Like meditation, one can practice mindfulness alone in the comfort of one’s house. But unlike meditation, one can also develop a constant state of mindfulness as they go through life.

Mindfulness is now widely adopted in the NHS and we recommend everyone learns this amazing technique for calming and controlling the mind. For more information, check out the following links:
